Abstract

The images of Almada Negreiros served as motto for this article, which presents thoughts
resulting from research, focusing in the period of the first Modernist movement, in Portugal,
and, in particular, in his inner self and aesthetic, through studies of light, sound and image,
unfolding, in its modernity, processes of continuous dialogue between characters, mirrors and
shadows.
